Polaroid and 16 Film mn Forever !

Even if Polaroid have discontinuing their film production,
all around the globe Polaroid's Lovers keep fighting for it's preservation.
I wrote a post about it before.

Has a child of the late 70's, the polaroid camera is so
deeply related to my childhood memories.
it was just so easy and instantinated print.Of course, you could tell me, that today digital cameras are also easy to use and to share.
I would love to buy a digital camera with an integrated printer.

But there is something with this polaroid texture,
a sensation that i never get with digital photography.
I always favour imperfection.
This unique Imperfect process and graininess can’t be reached by the computer softwares.
Today, softwares and digital cameras provide our world with perfect images.
Faces and landscapes are altered to perfection ;
that is now sometimes too perfect to be true.
In that polaroid imperfection there was place for imagination.

Little Me in the 80's

SavePolaroid.com is launching a tee-shirt contest that celebrates the medium.

In, 1971 the SX-70 polaroid System is introduced to
american media and photo dealers with a short film
of designers Charles and Ray Eames.
This film was explaining the new SX-70 system.
One year later, SX-70 is sold out : magazines, newspapers and
the public can’t get enough of this work of wonder,
SX-70 revolutionized home photography .

I would like to share with you one of my Art Video.
I worked with some of my familly 16 mn films and i mixed it with other mediums.

In this Art Video :
Summer in L.A, i wanted to talk about people that today are gone.
I haven’t so much childhood memories, films and photographies help me not to loose my memories.
I have to confess that i am obsess by conservation, i am afraid to forget.
Vaniting memories and lost feelings.
But by working on this Art video,
I will never forget them:
i still have a film of them where I can see them move.

« They are on this film and i can see them ».
Hope you will Enjoy it.
